It happened at 10:22 last night.
Police received a call from Timothy Claytor about a disturbance at his home on T. McReynolds road in Lewisburg.
"We know that the shooter had called and said that Mr. Holloway was at his house," says Logan County Sheriff Wallace Whittaker.
Holloway showed up to visit a woman, Laura White, who police are saying had a relationship with both men.
By the time the call was made, shots had already been fired.
"And then the caller advised that he had just shot him. But, basically we don't know if an argument broke out or any of that right now," Sheriff Whittaker says.
A home surveillance video showed Claytor did shoot Holloway, and when police showed up....
"Dale Holloway was laying in the front yard by the front door of the residence. Mr. Holloway had several gunshot wounds to him."
Claytor was taken into custody last night, and was being housed in the Logan County Jail, however...
"He was released this morning on a $500,000 unsecured bond," Sheriff Whittaker says.
For now, Claytor is a free man, but has been charged with murder.
Holloway is survived by his wife and children.
