VENICE, La. (AP) -- The Coast Guard says no oil is leaking from a Gulf of Mexico oil platform damaged by an explosion and fire today.
The blast took place as workers used a cutting torch. Four people were sent to a hospital with burns, and two others are missing in waters of Louisiana.
A small amount of oil spilled from the rig when workers cut into a line on the platform, but the Coast Guard says it can be contained.
Coast Guard aircraft and boats are searching for the two missing people.
The rig, a production platform owned by Black Elk Energy, is about 25 miles southeast of Grand Isle, La.
