LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Louisville police will step up patrols where three men were found dead, but don't believe any other suspects are at large.
Police Lt. Barry Wilkerson said the men knew each other, and the incident apparently stemmed from a drug deal. The Courier-Journal said Wilkerson called the shootings "very tragic."
The men are identified as 31-year-old Kavin A. Tandy of Louisville, who was outside the vehicle during the shootings; 23-year-old Rayshwan Stovall, whose address is unknown and who was in the vehicle's passenger seat; and 23-year-old Mark A. Fields of Louisville, the driver.
The coroner's office said all three died of multiple gunshot wounds.
Wilkerson said police are increasing patrols in the area as a precaution, in case the shootings prompt other violence.
