ASHLAND, Ky. (AP) -- An appearance on an MTV reality show quickly turned into a stay in jail for two people from northeastern Kentucky.

Twenty two year old Courtney Howard of Grayson and 33 year old David Nickell were on an episode of the MTV show, "True Life, I'm Addicted to Pills, which aired earlier this month.

Their actions on the show caught the attention of the Carter County Attorney's Office and the next day they notified troopers. Howard is charged with possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a minor, and theft by unlawful taking. Nickell now faces a charge of trafficking in a controlled substance.
