HINDMAN, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky State Police say a man accused of shooting at four probation and parole officers, and wounding one, is now facing charges.

Police say 56-year-old Rocky Wicker Sr. is charged with attempted murder of a police officer and wanton endangerment after allegedly opening fire as the officers tried to serve a warrant for his son, 28-year-old Rocky Wicker Jr.

Officer Brian Melvin was shot in the arm during the incident Monday in the community of Mousie in Knott County. Corrections Department spokeswoman Lisa Lamb said another officer suffered cuts on his arms from being hit by broken glass when the officers' vehicle was fired on.

The Kentucky Corrections Department says the younger Wicker was accused of not complying with the terms of his probation. Police say he remains at large.
