During a traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon, the Warren County Sheriff's Office arrested a man on multiple charges including drugs, assault, and resisting arrest.
Deputies say Daniel Nunez, 28, was in the passenger seat and was asked to get out of the vehicle because deputies said they smelled marijuana.
He admitted to having marijuana, but wouldn't comply to commands.
They say he began trying to fight with the deputy.
During the altercation, deputies say a loaded handgun fell out of his pocket.
They determined the gun was stolen during a recent burglary.
Nunez is in the Warren County Regional Jail.
