IRVINE, Ky. (AP) -- Kentucky State Police say a man died of a gunshot wound as troopers arrived at a home to serve arrest warrants.
Troopers say that 57-year-old Timothy Snowden of Paint Lick was found dead inside the house Sunday night. Troopers had gone to the house to serve warrants for first-degree assault, first-degree unlawful imprisonment, and violation of emergency protection and domestic violence orders.
Troopers say the owner of the residence in Estill County said Snowden was inside. Troopers were evacuating the homeowner when they heard a single gunshot. Snowden was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound.
The case remains under investigation.
