Man Dies in Allen County Home Invasion

One man is dead, after police say he broke into an Allen County man's home.

Police say it happened around 6:00 p.m. Thursday on Spears Road off highway 231 in Scottsville.

A man broke into a home and shots were fired by both the homeowner and the intruder.

Police say the intruder was killed and the homeowner was taken to the hospital. He was later flown to Vanderbilt Medical Center.
