LA GRANGE, Ky. (AP) -- Police say a 63-year-old Oldham County man has died after an argument with another man over a trailer.
The shooting happened around noon on U.S. 42 in La Grange. Oldham County Police say the men first exchanged words, then got into a physical altercation, and the man who lived there fired a handgun.
Police say Richard E. Hild of Crestwood suffered a chest wound and died at the scene.
The other man, 50-year-old Emmitt D. Pendleton, was arrested on a charge of possession of a handgun by a convicted felon. He hasn't been charged with any other crime in the case.
Police said the investigation was continuing.
