Attorneys for a Louisville man charged with shooting two of his neighbors to death at a homeowners association meeting are asking a judge to make him eligible for bond release.
Mahmoud Yousef Hindi has been held without bond since his arrest after the shooting of two people at the meeting of the Spring Creek Homeowners Association in September.
The Courier-Journal reports the motion seeking his release argues that a bond must be set unless prosecutors prove the presumption of guilty "is great," and no such finding has been made.
The defense will argue the motion on Nov. 13.
Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Erin White says she's unsure whether prosecutors will continue to request that Hindi be held without bond, or seek a very high bond.
