In Metcalfe County, Sheriff Rondall Shirley wants to warn citizens about a possible scam.
The sheriff's office says a company called HomeServe is soliciting water line insurance coverage in the area.
It's reported a number of people have received a letter in the mail advertising insurance for a monthly fee.
According to the Better Business Bureau this company has had 137 complaints filed against them.
Sheriff Shirley says he cannot confirm it is a definite scam, but he advises citizens to use extreme caution.
