The mystery behind an oddly placed duffel bag found in a central Kentucky cemetery came to a quick conclusion.
Somerset Police Sgt. Mike Correll says someone left the satchel with multiple components needed to make methamphetamine at The Somerset City Cemetery on Saturday. Correll called the discovery a chilling sign of what could be the new place to hide active labs.
Correll told The Commonwealth-Journal (bit.ly/Su1ZJJ) that the cemetery has not been the site of any previously known labs, but such areas are hard to patrol and catch meth makers in the act.
Cemetery manager Tricia Neal found the bag while searching the back section of the cemetery for broken headstones near a wooded area.
