A church that has been a pillar of the community for years was the center of controversy today.

Doug Roy, a Kentucky native, says he is tired of our country supporting illegal aliens.

"Kentucky is paying $308 milliion per year to subsidize illegal aliens in our state that includes health care, that includes legal costs, that includes especially and most of all their schooling costs", said Roy.

But for people like Norma Casteneda, Roy's ideas are simply ludacris.

"There are people from Asia, from every other country, that are also illegal people in this country", said Casteneda.

And Norma says despite Roy's protest she will continue to support their people.

"I'm here to stand up for my people because they
came here to look for a better life", said Consteneda.

But Roy says he's not just targeting Mexican immigrants.

"Any nationality, any nationality, if the look just like me they should be deported if they're here illegally, it doesn't matter, it's illegal is the key", said Roy.

And while things were heating outside the church, consulate leader Juan Solana was keeping his cool inside.

"They are doing what they have the right to do, and I am doing what i am here to do", said Solana.

Roy feels that the consulate shouldn't be helping provide passports to illegal aliens, but the consulate says they are just doing their job.

"We are doing everything we are supposed to be doing, according to the convention, this is our job, and we are very glad to do it", said Solana.

How does roy feel about that?

"But you can break the law while just doing your job", said Roy.

And while the consulate may be leaving town after today, the fallout may just be beginning.
