BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Business leaders are getting ready to start their engines and take the green flag.
The Mini Corvette Challenge benefiting Junior Achievement hits the track Saturday morning. During the day Friday officials prepared the race course and spectator areas. It's not your typical race track as drivers will be weaving through right and left turns.
"We've got the track setup. It's a bunch of straw but there are some curves and chicanes to make the race a little more interesting and exciting. It's not just an oval track so the teams will have to do some strategic driving," says Heather Rogers from Junior Achievement.
Racing starts Saturday at 9:30 a.m. with the championship race taking the green flag at 12:30 p.m.
The event is held at the National Corvette Museum and is open to the public.
