Van Meter Hall on the campus of WKU played host to the competition along with the Miss Teen Kentucky pageant. Many girls from all over the state compete in the event year after year, and It continues to call Bowling Green its home.
"Bowling Green is a great city. Van Meter is an old building but it's recently been renovated and its beautiful. This place is great that's why I'm back in Bowling Green," said Connie Harrison who is the Executive Director of Miss Kentucky U.S.A.
The swimsuit competition was just one facet of the judging Saturday during the preliminary round. Sunday the girls met with the judges before the finals playing a key role in who won the competition.
