UPDATE: Missing Kayaker in Warren County Found

UPDATE: 8/16/13 11:00 PM CDT

WARREN COUNTY, Ky. (WBKO) -- Warren County Rescue said Dale Reynolds, 56, was last seen downstream from the Old Scottsville Bridge around 6:30p.m. on Drake's Creek. Warren County Rescue, Warren County Emergency Management, Warren County Parks & Recreation, and Alvaton Volunteer Fire created a command post at Phil Moore Park before searching up and down the banks of the water for hours.

"Somehow he got behind us and we stopped at several different points. He still hadn't met up with us and we got kind of concerned. He's done this a million times. He knows where to go. It's just kind of concerning you know." said Russell Carter, son-in-law of the missing boater.

The work of the emergency responders paid off when Reynolds was spotted and brought to safety along the bank of the creek around 11p.m., a little more than four hours after he was reported missing. Family members were relieved and so was Reynolds. He made sure to thank emergency workers before heading back home safely.
