The search is over for a missing woman in Pulaski County.

Emergency officials say 24-year-old Salena Clark was found safe around 9 p.m. Monday.

We're told Clark was taken to a hospital for dehydration, but she's said to be doing okay.

Emergency officials say Clark was found in a field not far from the group home where she disappeared from Sunday.

EARLIER STORY:

Crews took to their search to the skies over northern Pulaski County Monday in search of 24 year old Salena Clark, a resident of a group home who walked away late Sunday afternoon.

“It worries me with the length of time that has gone by…something bad could have happened,” said neighbor Tessa Carter, whose security camera footage shows Clark quickly walking out of the home…and into the middle of Ky. 635, where several cars pass her by. Carter said Clark was lucky she wasn’t hit.

“She is very sweet. I hate to see this happen. I hope to see her come back safe,” said Carter.

Pulaski Co. public safety officials issued a Golden Alert because Clark is a diabetic and the fact that she might not understand her surroundings.

“She is on different meds and so forth. And in somewhat of an altered mental state,” said Public Safety Director Tiger Robinson.

The home in the Dabney Community is owned by Somerset based Independent Opportunities. No one there wished to comment but neighbors did say they heard that Clark may have been upset over a recent change in caregivers. But rescue crews say Clark has done this kind of thing before.

“She was found one time maybe 8 miles away. She walked away and was having coffee with someone,” said Robinson.
