A southeastern Kentucky woman who was charged with trading her newborn son for a truck has entered a guilty plea to endangering the welfare of a minor.
The Times-Tribune reports 31-year-old Heather A. Kaminsky entered the plea on Tuesday in Laurel County Circuit Court.
Investigators say Kaminsky traded her infant to a couple for a 1999 Dodge pickup truck that she later sold. A grand jury indicted her on charges of prohibited act or practice in the adoption of a child, as well as unlawful possession of meth precursors.
After Kaminsky entered the plea to the lesser charge, a Dec. 21 sentencing date was set.
