Moped Driver Dead After Hit By Pickup

A Clinton County man is dead after his moped was hit by a pickup.

Kentucky State Police say it happened on North US 127 in Albany, at about 8 Sunday night.

80-year-old John Byers was driving North in his 1989 Ford pickup.

Byers crashed into a moped, driven by 48-year-old Bharatkumer Batel.

Batel, was not wearing a helmet and was thrown from his moped,

He was transported to the Clinton County Hospital where he died.

Byers was not injured.
