BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) --Students at Moss Middle School in Bowling Green had the chance to show how much the new Leader In Me program is helping them become leaders.
State legislators in our area and members of the Warren County Board of Education were welcomed by the band, cheerleaders and choir. Students in the English as a Second Language (ESL) program introduced themselves before several students gave speeches on their leadership goals, with respecting themselves and others being one of them.
"I was talking about respect. You have to respect yourself first, and to get it, you have to.. if you can't give it to yourself, you can't give it to others, and I think you need respect for everyday life,"said Moss Middle School Student and speaker Kate Rogers.
Some students gave tours, while others hosted a panel and answered questions about their school, and goals for their futures.
