The Murray State University Board of Regents plans to decide by May what action will be taken on school President Randy Dunn's future and a possible new contract.
The Murray Ledger & Times reported that set out a schedule at a meeting on Friday giving a committee until May 10 to make recommendations to the full board about Dunn's future at the southwestern Kentucky school.
The issue of the contract had come to the forefront in recent months in part because of two jobs for which Dunn had applied. Dunn interviewed for the presidency of Missouri State University in October and interviewed to become the next Florida Commissioner of Education. Another candidate was selected for that job. Dunn was one of two finalists for the Missouri job, but withdrew.
