Nashville has been invited to make a bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics.
According to the New York Times," The US Olympic Board sent a letter to 35 of the largest cities in the country, including the Tennessee city.
The estimated operating cost to host the Games is $3 billion.
Cities have to have at least 45,000 hotel room, build an "Olympic Village" to house 16,500 athletes, and create operating space for more than 15,000 media members.
The "International Olympic Committee" will select a 2024 host city in 2017.
