BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- The early stages of reconstruction continue at the National Corvette Museum including an opportunity for visitors to get a look at the progress. Holes are continuing to be cut into the floor. and officials said the last of those should be drilled by Tuesday night.
The next step will be filling them with stabilizers to make sure the structure is sound. A wooden wall is also being replaced with plexiglass so visitors can see what's going on in the sky dome.
A security camera has also been moved to point into the hole. During tours a monitor is available so visitors can see the cars inside until they're removed.
Officials believe the removal process will take up to two weeks.
