MADISONVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Several hundred people attended the ceremony in Madisonville Wednesday, as they dedicated a new veterans' memorial.
The memorial includes a ribbon-shaped walk leading to a wall and a display of flags representing the United States, Madisonville, and Kentucky.
A large granite rock inscribed Veterans Memorial, is near plaques and flags recognizing every branch of the military -- the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard.
Officials say the total cost of the project was about $250,000. Several veterans said it was a worthwhile project.
