The building used to be a convenience store, it's now the first business of it's kind in the Commonwealth.
It's Charley Bigg's Chicken, but this place is special for a couple of reasons.
Jean and James Beattie wanted to open a restaurant in Morgantown.
"Everyday it's the same thing. There are so few restaurants, and so few things for people to go to, there's no variety. So, I knew this would be a good thing," said Owner, Jean Beattie.
And has it been a good thing, the Morgantown establishment broke corporate records in business.
It may be a chain, but it features local flavor with Jimbo's Smoker and Jeanne's Bakery.
The restaurant opened up as a result of an entrepreneurial educational program, started first in Morgantown as the only one in the Commonwealth, called the Small Business Incubator program.
The class featured three coaches, and was through the University of Kentucky.
"Greg Drake, Dwayne McKinney, and myself participated in this project and it's geared toward trying to help entrepreneurs get started. What they need to do, things they need to do, and kind of help them along as they begin to open a business," said Kathern Jennings, Small Business Incubator program.
"The classes were really informative on what if this thing happens or what if this happens in the future, how to handle them, and just basic education on opening a business and running one successfully," said Beattie.
Funding to help the restaurant get started came from both the city and the county each pitching in $10,000, and since it's open, it has been a welcome site to the local economy.
They also had to move into an existing building, not a build a new one.
"It's a good image, because empty buildings in a small town looks bad. One of the things we're proud about is that they took an existing building, and they've done some upgrades to it. So, I think there in for the long run," said Butler County Judge Executive David Fields.
The local small business coordinators say they've got more people in the program, and they hope to turn out a few more businesses here in the near future.
Some of the ways funding helps the businesses get started is by paying up to four thousand dollars of the rent, and those involved hope to have those new businesses in about three months.
