Want to honor a Kentucky teacher who is doing outstanding work?
Nominations are now open for the 2014 Kentucky Teacher of the Year award. Anyone can make a nomination.
Any full-time public school teacher in the state with at least three years of experience is eligible.
Twenty-four teachers will be awarded Teacher Achievement Awards and one will be named teacher of the year in the fall.
The 2013 Kentucky Teacher of the Year is Kristal Doolin, who teaches language arts at Corbin Middle School.
