Off-Duty State Trooper Killed in Collision on I-64

A Kentucky State Police trooper has died in a collision on Interstate 64 in central Kentucky.

State police say 25-year-old Trooper Anson Blake Tribby of Mount Sterling was off duty and driving his personal vehicle when he was involved in a collision with a flatbed wrecker Tuesday night.

Tribby was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a 2 1/2-year veteran with state police and was assigned to the Morehead post.

The wreck happened east of Winchester in Clark County.

Police said the wrecker driver, 54-year-old John Masterson of Winchester, wasn't injured.

The investigation was continuing Wednesday.
