KSP Post 4 Marijuana Eradication Nets 12 Arrests

The result of the week-long effort was the seizure of 800 marijuana plants with a street value of $1,600,000.

ELIZABETHTOWN, KY – During the week of August 12 through 16, the Greater Hardin County Narcotics Task Force, in a joint effort with the Kentucky State Police Post 4 in Elizabethtown and the KSP Aircraft section, eradicated the illegal cultivation of marijuana throughout the Post 4 area.

The KSP aircraft flew over numerous areas including Hardin, Meade, Jefferson, Grayson, Bullitt, and Breckinridge counties. The aircraft was occupied by officers and troopers trained to spot marijuana from the aircraft from both the KSP and the Task Force.

The result of the week-long effort was the seizure of 800 marijuana plants with a street value of $1,600,000.

The search also resulted in the confiscation of 18 guns, 12 criminal arrests, and 19 criminal cases opened that are still under investigation.
