BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Since the Bowling Green roundabout opened several weeks ago, officials say they've been getting a lot of positive feedback.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports there have been just two minor, non-injury accidents in the area since traffic began flowing through it last month.
Officials say some people were skeptical of the roundabout at first, but that's changing now.
"The perception before it opens is kind of negative and then after it opens people love it. That's where we are now. We're getting a lot of positive feedback. It seems to be going really well," said Wes Watt, of the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. "It's really helped the traffic flow in that area, and people just seem to be really enjoying it."
He said while drivers have been going through it without issues overall, it's important for those traveling on 31W to remember to yield upon entering the roundabout, and once you're in it not to stop so the traffic can keep flowing.
