Officials are warning motorists to watch for deer on roadways in Kentucky.

October is the beginning of the three-month peak season.

The Department of Fish and Wildlife says that's because it's deer mating season.

The Kentucky Farm Bureau says almost half of all collisions with deer happen during this time.

The biggest risks are either early in the morning or late at night.
