CROMWELL, KY (WBKO) -- Officials have released the name of the victim in Sunday evening's fatal snowplow crash. The Ohio County Sheriff's Office says a Beaver Dam man died after crashing into a snowplow.
Deputies say just after 5:30 p.m. Sunday, 24-year-old Jhovany Cordova Cortes hit the snowplow on U.S.highway 231 at the intersection of Lee Drive in Cromwell.
They say Cortes lost control of his car on the ice and snow, and skidded into the path of the snowplow driven by John Reynolds, striking the blade on the passenger side of his black Honda.
Deputies say Cortes died at the hospital. Reynolds was not hurt.
