The rain held off just enough Saturday Morning for people to get out and enjoy the Second Saturday Street Festival for the month of July.
From April through September Fountain Square in Downtown Bowling Green is turned into a street fair on the second Saturday of the month. The festival brings plenty of food, fun, and things for the family.
The festival is all an effort to help revitalize and bring people in to Downtown Bowling Green.
"Everything begins with your downtown. Your downtown is your inner core, and then it spreads outward. Industries come to towns and they want to know what your town is like? How vibrant it is? How invovled is the merchants in the community of the downtown?," says Robin Harden of the Downtown Redevelopment Association.
Each festival has a theme. If you missed the festival for July you still have the second Saturday of August and September.
