It's been 20 years since Operation Pride was created by Bowling Green and Warren County to make the community a more beautiful place to live.
In the past two decades, Operation Pride has restored the L&N Depot, added welcome signs on the outskirts of Bowling Green, and added trees along Cemetery Rd.
The beautification project was developed by Mayor Johnny Webb, and several other city officials at that time.
The overall goal is to improve the image of Bowling Green to make people want to come here, to spend time here, to invest their businesses and other jobs and homes here," says Operation Pride Director, Quentin Hughes.
Operation Pride has just started a beautification project at Exit 22 of I-65 at Scottsville Rd. after years of road construction at that interchange.
