BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Downtown Bowling Green continues efforts to revitalize by hosting more community events.

The 2nd Saturdays Festival has returned for the 4th year. This Saturday was their third summer event at Fountain Square Park. The family friendly festival ran all day with music, food, crafts and games. Organizers say they hope to bring more people downtown with a goal of having them stay there.

"There is a heartbeat going here. There is something happening and I want to move downtown, I want to live downtown. As a matter of fact I purchased property downtown. I believe in the program so much," says Robin Harden, 2nd Saturdays Coordinator.

There are more 2nd Saturdays festivals scheduled for July, August and September.
