The Barren County Sheriff's Office is warning residents about another string of scams.
Police say people approach potential victims, asking to do large paint jobs such as barns or buildings.
They complete the work, but once it rains, the paint disappears, along with victim's money.
Police say the people posing as workers purchase large amounts of paint at area businesses, then dilute them.
You should ask for proper identification and references if someone comes to your home asking to do such work.
If you're suspicious, you can call the Barren County Sheriff's Office at 651-2771 or your local law enforcement agency.
