Passover Celebrated By Students At WKU

By Jake Boswell |

Just like any holiday, Passover is about being with family for those of the Jewish faith. It's also much more than that. It's a celebration of the Jewish exodus from Egypt thousands of years ago. Groups like the WKU Jewish Student Union say the holidays are a time when they're thankful for the support.

"There's such a small Jewish population on campus and Bowling Green. All we try to do is to get people together to celebrate the holidays that we might not be able to celebrate since we aren't at home." said David Mauser of the WKU Jewish Student Union.

President Obama and his family celebrated Passover Monday night with a Seder at the White House. It's a tradition the president began during his initial campaign in 2008.
