The children at the Boys and Girls Club of Bowling Green had a special trip today to get a new pair of shoes, and those shoes were free thanks to a grant from Payless.
Today, some of the kids picked out one pair of shoes for $20 or less at the Payless in Greenwood Mall.
One girl says her new ballet shoes will help her start a new hobby.
"I picked the shoes out because I wanted to be interested in ballet, because it looks so fun," said Boys and Girls Club member Abigail Singer.
All 200 club members will be able to get free shoes. They will be taken in groups each Tuesday and Thursday in February to pick them out.
