An EF2 tornado has been confirmed to have touched the ground in Smith's Grove. Pelly's Farm Fresh just off of I-65 got the full force of the 120 to 125 mile per hour winds that swept through around 3 A.M. Multiple silos and buildings on the farm were reduced to twisted metal. The residents of the farm say they're happy no one is hurt. but it's tough to see their property torn to pieces.
"It's metal we can replace but it's still very upsetting. It's our livelihood. Nearly fifty years of my husband's life has been in that dairy barn." said Esli Pelly whose family owns the farm.
Pelly says though the family's property is damaged they feel very blessed that none of them were hurt during the moments of high wind.
