Plans for Thunderfest Are Underway

"Our title sponsor is Citizens First Bank. We could not do it without them. Meijer is also a new sponsor this year. They're going to have their Meijer Mobile Tour out, so that is pretty cool. It's air conditioned so it'll be a nice get-a-way if you get hot out there. But, it's at the Corvette Museum, July 3. Gates open at 4 pm. We have a new bigger better fire works show this year so we're really excited," said Lindsey McClain, Thunderfest Chairperson.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky (WBKO) -- Plans for this year's “Thunderfest” are under-way!

For 42 years, the Kiwanis Club of Bowling Green created a family fun event for more than thirty children organizations in Bowling Green and Warren County.

Citizen's First Bank also supports the event and provided a $12,500 check to help fund this year's event.

Last year's event raised more than $40,000 for local charities serving children.
