SIMPSON CO., Ky. (WBKO) -- A high-speed police chase in Simpson County leads to not one, but two car crashes.

Kentucky State Police say Tuesday night about five, the Simpson County Sheriff's Department was about to arrest 42-year-old Scott Page of Franklin when he took off in his car.

One mile into the chase, Page lost control of his car on a hill crest on Gold City Road.

He was thrown from the car after he hit a tree and rolled.

Page was flown to Vanderbilt Hospital and is in stable condition.

The second crash happened when a Franklin police officer was responding to help with the chase and side-swiped Kimberly Sliger's car that was stopped on the side of the road because of the first crash.

Neither Sliger or the officer were injured.
