Police continue to search for a burglar who struck a residence yesterday.

A homeowner on Happy Valley Road told Barren County Sheriff's Deputies he found a suspicious vehicle and someones belongings spread across his driveway.

When they arrived deputies discovered the vehicle in the driveway had been stolen from Louisville.

They also learned the house had been ransacked and the homeowner's 1999 Nissan Maxima had been stolen.

They are looking for the car with the Kentucky license plate number 575MVZ.

They're investigating why this residence was targeted.

"We have not yet found that piece of the puzzle. We don't know if it was a general burglary or just selected randomly or if he had known the victim. We have a BOLO out for the vehicle," says Deputy Mike Houchens from the Barren County Sheriff's Department.

If you have any information about this burglary or have seen the 1999 Nissan Maxima you are asked to call the Barren County Sheriff's Tipline at (270) 646-8771.
