UPDATE: Police Arrest Suspect in Franklin Armed Robbery

Police have made an arrest in the armed robbery of a pizza delivery driver in Franklin.

The Franklin Police Department says Donnell Flippin, 53, of Franklin was arrested in connection with the June 22nd robbery.

The victim told police he was delivering a pizza on Walker Street, when a man pointed a gun at him and ordered him to get on the ground, before running off with his cash.

Flippin was arrested on Friday on charges of robbery and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

He's currently in the Simpson County Jail.

A pizza delivery driver was robbed at gunpoint in Franklin.

Police say around 10:15 PM Sunday, the victim was making a delivery on Walker Street, when an unknown man came up to him.

The victim told police the suspect pointed a small revolver at him, and told him to get on the ground.

Police say the suspect took off with a small amount of cash.

The victim was not hurt.

The suspect is described as a black man in is mid to late 20s, about 6'1'', and weighs about 160 pounds.

Police say he had a white dish towel on his head, and a white wash cloth over the gun.
