MCKEE, Ky. (AP) — An eastern Kentucky man has been charged with shooting and killing another man.

Troopers on Saturday charged 33-year-old Nolan Westly Rose, Jr., of Sand Gap in the death of 56-year-old Gary "Bill" Mullins of McKee.

Trooper Howard Blanton says investigators went to Mullins' home after family members reported not having seen or spoken to him and that they were concerned.

Mullins' body has been transported to the State Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.

Blanton did not give a motive in the case.

Rose is in the Jackson County Jail. Records did not list an attorney.
