Officer Jason Ellis

Bardstown, Ky. (WBKO)-- It's been nearly a year since Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis was gunned down while on the job. Now he's being honored in the Nation's Capitol and his hometown.

The Bardstown Farmer's Market is hosting a memorial for Ellis tonight.

The Farmer's Market will show a live feed of the National Candlelight Vigil to honor fallen officers happening in Washington D.C. where Ellis will also be recognized.

He was killed along Blue Grass Parkway on May 25th last year.

No arrests have been made in the case.
