While investigating the fatal shooting on Victoria Street Tuesday morning, police got a little more than they bargained for.

Our cameras were there as cops placed two men under arrest.

The men, driving a sedan, sped away from the scene which caught the attention of officers investigating the shooting.

An officer attempted to make a traffic stop when the men jumped out of the car and fled on foot to a nearby home.

Officer Ronnie Ward says this is an example that even while police are investigating they should expect the unexpected.

"On any given day we have multiple things going on at one time and when you are on one particular incident you're not necessarily just staying on that incident you may have something else that will happen while you are standing there," says Ward.

Police tell is this incident and those involved are not related in anyway to the shooting on Victoria Street.
