FLORENCE, Ky. (AP) -- Police say they have the DNA of the person who killed an elderly northern Kentucky couple more than a year ago.

The Boone County Sheriff's Office said on Thursday that the evidence would be entered into the FBI's Combined DNA Index System in an effort to find the culprit.

Police have been investigating the deaths of Bill and Peggy Stephenson, who were both 74, since their bodies were found in their Florence home last May after they didn't show up to church.

The couple's children have also increased a reward from $5,000 to $100,000 for information that leads to an arrest in the case. A statement from police says tips can be called in to 859-334-8496.

Police have released little information about the deaths due to the ongoing investigation.
