LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Louisville police say a woman contemplated killing an 8-year-old boy then tried to strangle him with a rope.
Police told WDRB-TV in Louisville 40-year-old Kimberly Anderson called them to her Tuesday afternoon and told dispatchers she just choked an 8-year-old boy.
When officers arrived, they reported finding the boy with bruising around the neck.
Police say Anderson talked about killing the boy and decided to use the rope because that would "just make him pass out."
Police say Anderson put the rope around his neck for about 30 seconds until he turned blue and told her, "you're gonna kill me!"
Anderson is charged with attempted murder and criminal abuse. Jail records do not list an attorney for her.
