MIDDLESBORO, Ky. (AP) -- Police in Middlesboro say an officer watched a Corbin man bury a used needle in a children's playground.
Police arrested 31-year-old Lester Godsey, charging him with wanton endangerment.
The arrest citation states an officer watched Godsey on Tuesday as the man buried the needle in the sand at a jungle gym in Fords Woods Park. Police unearthed the needle and no children were injured. Police said the needle had been used to inject illegal drugs.
The Bell County Detention Center website showed Godsey was held there Friday morning. It wasn't clear whether he had an attorney.
