Porter Pike Collision Kills Two In Warren County


BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Two men are dead and one women had to be airlifted to the hospital after a collision on Porter Pike in Bowling Green.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office said the accident happened just after 3 AM on Saturday when 46-year-old Linda Cowles was driving on Porter Pike and a car tried to cross in front of her. Police said that car, driven by 23-year-old Jonathan Elmore was coming from Petty Road and collided with Cowles vehicle.

Police said Elmore and a passenger, 20-year-old Craig Armstrong were pronounced dead at the scene. Cowles had to be flown to the Skyline Medical Center in Tennessee.

The Warren County Sheriff's Office said Cowles is listed in stable condition.

The accident is still under investigation.
