Power Outage in Some Areas of Bowling Green Due to Storm

Bowling Green Municipal Utilities says the primary transformer on Scottsville Road was struck by lightning in tonight's severe thunder storm.

Power is out from Scottsville Road to High Street to Lover's Lane.

BGMU says it has all its crew members out serving the damage with the goal of restoring power.

UPDATE: As of 9:00 PM, power on Scottsville Road has been restored. BGMU is aware of power outages throughout the city and is working to get it restored.

Farmers RECC has 1,600 members without power. Crews are assembling to restore outages as quickly as possible.
